Graduation certificates and class awards are a perfect way to close out the school year for preschoolers and kindergarteners. It’s a special keepsake loaded with memories. Each time their parent sees that graduation diploma or character award, they will remember what a special time their child had.

Graduation certificate for preschool

Whether you have an end of the year celebration or a formal preschool graduation or kindergarten graduation, it’s fun to have a time set aside to spend with your students and their families before they move on up to the next season in life.

Preschool graduations all look different. Some are casual, some are musical, and some have all the pomp and circumstance. We have some perfect graduation songs if singing is part of what you have planned. We also love these printable songs that are super easy to learn from Angela at Teaching Mama.

Editable Graduation Certificates for Preschool and Kindergarten

I have made these editable preschool graduation certificates aka graduation diplomas for preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten so that you can honor each child for completing the year with you.

I don’t think it matters if you do it in an actual ceremony with a stage, as an informal gathering as a class, or even if you just print them out and put them in student folders to take home. Every school is different, so you can do what best works for you.

My preschool graduation certificates are available over in my store on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Character and Class Awards for Preschool and Kindergarten

For my end of the year celebration in preschool, one of my favorite parts is recognizing each of my students for some of their strengths and how that has impacted our class.

There is so much power in noticing the good in children for the gifts and abilities they have and when you do that in front of their peers or parents, the impact multiplies. And mamas love to hear that their teachers noticed something wonderful about their child. It makes our hearts gush!

This year I decided to make some character awards to hand out as class awards that come with my graduation awards in my store on TPT. I made these that showcase some of the characteristics that I think we see most often in our classes.

And then I decided to add a couple of my favorite inspiring quotes to go along with them.

No act of kindness, no matter how
small, is ever wasted. Aesop

Kindness is something that I love about preschoolers. Most of them are still in that “sweet” age where they still love to give you hugs and say things that make your heart want to burst.

For my Class Adventurer award, I chose this quote:

As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen.
Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh quotes are some of the absolute best!

Or for my Great Ideas award, I chose this quote:

I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else.
Pablo Picasso

These are even editable class awards so you could make the award anything you wanted.

Or if you have a faith-based program and wanted to put Bible verses in instead of the quotes, you can easily change those too.

Make sure to grab the editable preschool or kindergarten diplomas and class awards over on Teachers Pay Teachers.

I am so proud of you and happy that you are finally at the end of the year. You’ve worked hard, teacher friend!!
